Conference for Nannies
The Chiltern College, in partnership with VOICE, the Union for childcare and education professionals, Nannytax, the UK’s leading payroll service for employers of Nannies, and Morton Michel, childcare insurance specialists, is organising a one day Conference specifically for professionals employed as Nannies.
The Chiltern College, as a dedicated childcare and training College, established over 75 years ago, and committed to providing quality care, education and training, is keen to host and be associated with this important event.
A high percentage of childcare in the U.K. is carried out by Nannies in private homes. They therefore play a vital role in supporting working parents but their training needs and professional development needs are often forgotten. The role of the nanny can often be quite isolating and the Conference will provide them with the opportunity to ‘network’ with other nannies, sharing their ideas and experiences and enhancing their professional development.
The Conference will take place at The Chiltern College on Saturday 26th September 2009. The planned day will include a Guest Speaker, who will be a childcare expert, and there will be various childcare/education stands on the day for nannies to visit.
The day will be free of charge to nannies attending. We feel this is an important opportunity to raise the profile of the professional nanny.
