About Family Match

How do I register with Family Match? After an initial discussion with Family Match, we will e-mail, fax or post our application forms to you. After completion, these should be returned, together with:

  • Up to date curriculum vitae
  • At least 2 written recent references (including (if possible) one from your most recent position)
  • An up to date photograph
  • Copy of your driving licence
  • Copy of Passport and marriage and/or birth certificate
  • Copy of your childcare & first aid qualifications.

Do I have to attend an interview?
A face-to-face interview then takes place or, if you live too far away from our office, an in-depth telephone interview might suffice in exceptional circumstances.

What happens after my interview?

After being selected as a Family Match candidate, we then contact your referees for verification of their written references. We will try to complete this process on the same day as your interview, so as not to waste valuable time in finding you a suitable position.

How will I find out what positions are available?

We will give you information about the suitable jobs that we have available and will organise contact between yourself and any prospective employers. You may also like to check our situations vacant page on our web site.

Will my details be sent to prospective employers?

A brief resume of your career to date will be posted, faxed, or e-mailed to prospective employers and telephone conversations between you and the family will be arranged.

Who will organise the interview between the nanny and the family?

If a telephone conversation is successful, we encourage both parties to arrange an interview. The time and date should be advised to Family Match. In some cases it will be a Family Match consultant organising the interviews.

What happens after the interview?

Both parties should contact Family Match to advise them of the outcome of the interview. Offer and acceptance may be made either at interview, or after discussion with Family Match.

Should I keep in contact with the agency of my progress?

Before, during and after your interview with prospective employers we expect you to keep in close contact with Family Match so that we can monitor your progress and inform you of appropriate new vacancies.

What will happen if I am unsuccessful at my first interview?

Family Match will continue to send your details to potential employers until you have advised us that you have secured a suitable new position.

Insurance

Please ensure that your new employer advises their insurance company which is responsible for their comprehensive household insurance policy that you are employed by them, so that you are covered in the event of an accident.
